That Crunchy Christian Life

In studying the scriptures, I’m convinced that God has called us to a more sustainable life-style. There’s so much to learn about these topics and I hope to revisit them on here in the future. Recently, I lead a women’s bible study focused on living sustainably and what the bible says about it. I’m excited to conduct more research and share with everyone, but in the meantime, here’s a copy of the handout we used:

Ten Ways to Live Sustainably
Environmental sustainability doesn’t mean living without, but rather being aware of your resource consumption and reducing unnecessary waste.
1. Reduce household energy use
2. Eat locally and organic
3. Dispose with disposables (i.e. plastics)
4. Plant seeds
5. Recycle
6. Resell and donate items
7. Drink from the tap
8. Save water
9. Rely less on your car
10. Purchase fair-trade products
